Welcome back to where it all started…
If you haven’t been reading along, Seattle has started a bench league! We have 4 teams in a unique and different format from what we normally play in the world of hardcourt bike polo. Our four captains got together to draft their ideal hardcourt bench teams of 7 or more players and with a mix of both competitive and casual players, we are heading into the second series of games for each team!
Tonight we have 2 games planned, all four teams to playing their second games of the season: Galactic Decay (Captain – Blazar) vs Dire Sharks (Captain – Scooter) for the first game of the night and in the next game it’s Polovers (Captain – Messmann) vs Waste Mgmt (Captain – Cody). There has been a lot of interest in some photos/video of our games so check out Cody Riggs’ awesome photos below. Keep checking in to stay up to date: otherwise you’ll miss out on the awesome.
If you have any questions about the bench minor format, ask your local polo player! Our rules are very similar to North American Hardcourt Bike Polo’s rules, with changes to the time (we play hour long games) and rotation requirements. We have big teams and bigger, better games being played right now! It’s an exciting time for us and we’re pleased to share our photos and videos.
