22 July, 2009 – Birmingham, England – Brooks England, the English purveyor of handmade leather saddles and accessories since 1866 and proud sponsor of both the North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships (NAHBPC) and the Hardcourt Bike Polo World Championships (HBPWC) believes that class means more than winning.  To honor such, Brooks will sponsor the team that demonstrates the most ‘talent and style’ on and off the NAHBPC court with a paid flight to the September 5th and 6th World Championships.

Brooks will be bestow the Talent & Style Award to the team that shows the most panache, who are a symbols of playing like gentlemen and ladies, and who understand the fine line between pride and humility. The winner’s of this award will be players of excellence who don’t necessarily gain the glory in games, but play with grace and love for the sport.

Thus, if you feel you stand a rare shot of taking the overall, be encouraged to show up with an exceptional attitude, sense of humor, stylin’ weapons and wheels (mallets, eh? no guns), and consider donning some dashing drawers and kits.

Teams who wish to contend for the Talent and Style award must accept prior, to be photographed by  Brooks and to agree that pictures may be used for Brooks marketing purposes. The Organizers shall provide photo release forms.

As of press time, judges names remain under wraps and may remain so throughout the competition. Best behaviour and stunning outfits are thus required at all times. You’ll never know if that ref you told to, ‘cram it, clown’ may in fact be a judge.

On a final note, winning doesn’t hurt either. Brooks will also award the North American Champions with a paid flight to Worlds. Other fabulous Brooks prizes will be awarded to both the Talent & Style Champions as well as the overall and runner’s-up.
